Confused about our workshops?
Here is an explanation about our workshops that should clear up any confusion:

WAA sponsors the Friday workshops at the Arboretum. They last from 9am-3pm and cost $50 for members. Maximum of 15 participants. We have them scheduled this year in January, February, May, June, September, October and November. From the fees we pay the guest instructor and supply snacks; if any is left it goes into the WAA account.

The Wilmington Gallery sponsors occasional workshops of varying time lengths considering the desires of the instructor...these may be one or two-day events and are held at the gallery. Maximum of 5 participants; cost usually $30. Fees pay the instructor and are part of fund-raising for gallery expenses.

   New Workshops       

                                    October 17th 2008

    From 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Painting workshop at the Arboretum: Artist Derick Crenshaw will be teaching a workshop on"wet-to-wet" approach to painting landscapes in oils. Derick is a wonderful teacher and you can expect to learn a lot in this class.

Cost is $50.00 for Wilmington Art Association members and $55.00 for non members. Call Joan Fry at 910-791-0507.

WAA Workshops at the Arboretum

All workshops are held at the Arboretum from 9 am until 3 pm.

Classes are held at the New Hanover County Arboretum from 9am until 3 pm. We provide
light snacks and drinks. Bring a bag lunch.

A materials list will be sent to participants.
